Mega Mall of Indonesia

I am sitting at J. Co. (my favorite coffee/donut/frozen yogurt shop) at the HUGE mall in Surabaya. It is called Tunjungan Plaza and I think it is 7 or 8 floors. Maybe 9. Oh, and they have Upper Ground Level and Lower Ground Level. So I guess that makes 9 - 11 floors! Yikes! That is a lot of shopping! I did discover Banana Republic and Gap here. Grumble, grumble. Now, if there was an Old Navy, I would be super excited! Anyway, I am sitting at J. Co. and there is some sort of concert going on in the rotunda. It is so loud! The girl is singing Killing Me Softly and Umbrella and songs like that. There was a brief intermission, at which point they started blasting Christmas music over the loudspeakers. :)

This afternoon I went to see Public Enemies with a friend. Good movie! In Indonesia, you have assigned seating at the movie theater. You pick your seat when you buy your ticket. And the seats are HUGE with tons of leg room! And they have popcorn, nachos, hot dogs and candy at the movies. It almost feels like home....almost! For those of you who love to hear how cheap everything is in Indonesia....last night I went to Pizza Hut. I got a Personal Pan Pizza, Cheesy Garlic Bread and a drink all for $5. I love it! Oh, and Pizza Hut here is like a fancier sit down restaurant. It is one of the cleanest restaurants I have been to. So not like in the US!

Today my friend and I booked our flights to Bali for the middle of the month. Yea! Now we just need to get a hotel. We were told at the travel agent that we would have good luck getting a hotel when we get to Bali. Plus we would get a good price because we have Indonesian ID cards. Sweet!

Below is a picture of me with a few of the escalators at the Mega Mall. Enjoy! I know, it is about time I post a picture of a person and not just places! Love and miss you!
